JAMES ELKINS’ MUSEUM FUNDRAISER
OLD BELL BUCKLE FIRE HALL
Saturday, February 17, 2018 6pm-8pm
Bell Buckle Volunteer Fire Hall on Main Street
It’s Mardi Gras time and the only thing Bell Buckle loves more than a party is Mr. and Mrs. Elkins so we’re combining both for a good cause! Mrs. Elkins wants to donate Mr. Elkins fire memorabilia to go towards a museum in the old Fire Hall next to the Public Restrooms. In order to make sure Mr. Elkins’ memories and artifacts are properly cared for and displayed, some work is needed at the old fire hall. The Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce has taken on the responsibility and fun of making this happen. First thing is to get a new façade on the building.
So don your best Mardi Gras attire and come out for a fun night of gumbo, red beans and rice, music, and maybe a few beads thrown in! Admission is free!
There will be a cake walk and items from the charmingly unique Bell Buckle stores to raise money to start the work so Bell Buckle can make sure one of its most beloved couple are honored and preserved in Bell Buckle history forever. Several façade designs will be displayed and everyone attending will be encouraged to vote for their favorite façade.
So come on out for a night of fun for a great cause. Who knows, there may just be a Mrs. Elkins’ chocolate pie up for bid…….. Let that Good Pie Roll!
