I just wanted to say I have been trying to go to this moon pie festival for the past 4 years but I have always been there at the wrong time. This year I plan on flying in from Madera, CA the day before the festival so I won’t miss it. I can’t wait…..

what time does the activities begin. Will they post a schedule?
The Chamber will be posting a schedule in the next few weeks. The 10 MILE run begins at 7:00am and festivities usually begin at 9:00am.
We have wanted to come for three years, this year we will definitely be there. We’re coming from Dana, NC

How would someone go about getting a booth for the craft fair?
Do you have to register for the 10 mile race in advance?
No, you do not have to register before the event. However, if the event closes at 1000 runners.

Coming from Terre Haute In.Is their Handicap parking? – Sure hope
Yes, We clear the entire parking lot in front of the post office for Handicap Parking. The Bedford County Rescue Squad mans the area and will help people needing accommodation.

No beauty pageant but lots of activities!

I signed up for the 10 mile run months ago but am now injured and cannot do it. Is there a way to be refunded? I am so sad.
Unfortunately we are unable to refund registrations. However if you can come to Bell Buckle or send someone in your place, we will be happy to get your tshirt to you. I am so sorry you are injured and hope for a speedy recovery.

What time is synchronized wading? I didn’t see it on the schedule of events. Thanks.
The Synchronized Wading event is right after the parade.
is it free to get in as well as parking? where would be a good place to park? thanks!
There is free parking at Webb School and at Bell Buckle Park. There are also places in town where you can pay to park that are close to the venue. Parking is around $5 for those areas.
What kind of run support will there be for the 10 mile run – water? Gatorade?
Water stops are at Mile Markers 2, 4, 6 and 8. Powerade at MM 6 & 8.
There are several residents along the route that also offer water along the route as well. Water be provided at the finish line and a selection of beverages at the breakfast served after the race.
Are leashed pets allowed?
Yes. Furry friends always welcome!
