“The Voice of the Titans” Mike Keith

Mike Keith has done play-by-play announcing on radio and television for a variety of sports on a variety of levels in a career that is now in its fourth decade. He’s called junior pro, high school, college, Arena and NFL football. He’s called men’s and women’s basketball. He’s called high school, college and professional baseball and high school wrestling. He even did play-by-play for the 1995 National Indoor Paintball Championships.

But calling one play on a rainy Saturday in Nashville made him famous.

On January 8, 2000, Mike and Pat Ryan called one of the greatest plays in NFL history, “The Music City Miracle”, a last-second touchdown that gave the Tennessee Titans an improbable playoff win over the Buffalo Bills. ESPN named Titans Radio’s description of the play as one of the 10 best radio calls in American sports history.

Today, Mike Keith is still going strong in his 20th season as “Voice of the Titans”.

In addition to his play-by-play duties, Mike hosts multiple Titans Radio shows, produces content for the team’s media platforms and for the Titans All Access television show, emcees all official team events and speaks to civic, school and business groups throughout the region.

Mike also calls Tennessee state high school championship events as part of the Titans’ relationship with the TSSAA, hosts shows on Sirius XM NFL Radio and does play-by-play work for ESPN and the SEC Network.

You get the picture: Mike likes to talk about sports.

Mike is a graduate of Battle Ground Academy and the University of Tennessee. He lives in Franklin with his wife, Michelle. They have two children, Abby and Matthew.
